Top Secret Press was started by artist Nik Gelormino as a way to foster collaboration with artists of varying practices through the medium of wood block printing.  For the first iteration of this project he invited Michelle Blade.

About the Artist:

Michelle Blade (b. 1981, Los Angeles, CA) creates autobiographical paintings and drawings that reflect her deep connection to the natural world and her lineage in Southern California. Working with thin layers of acrylic and ink on stretched poplin, she embraces the fluid unpredictability of wet-on-wet techniques to render luminous landscapes, wild gardens, and intimate scenes of family life. Blade has exhibited internationally, with recent solo exhibitions at Powerlong Art Museum, Shanghai (2025), Asia Art Center, Beijing (2024), and Loyal, Stockholm (2023), and her work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, and The Paris Review.
